When the World Got Loud, We Chose Our Own Volume

Dec 4, 2025

Lately it feels like the world is doing its usual thing, AI headlines everywhere, big funding rounds, new models dropping, everyone racing to build the “next big thing”. Politics and global news keep reminding us that we’re living through a strange, fast, historic kind of time, but somehow all of that still ends up feeling like background tabs in the browser.

What’s front and center for me right now is much simpler: people. A friend shared some hard health news recently, not something I can fix, not something a sharper model or a bigger dataset can solve. And yet, even in that, what’s been most present is her quiet strength, the way she still laughs, still plans, still makes space for joy. Stories like hers aren’t rare; there are so many people who find new purpose and community when life throws them a curveball, turning what could have been the end of the story into a very unexpected next chapter. That energy has been sitting with me.

So here’s the little reminder I’m taking from all of this, and I’m sharing it with you like a voice note: the world will keep moving fast, but we get to choose where we place our attention. While AI reshapes industries and global news cycles spin, there’s something quietly radical about doubling down on hope, on checking in on a friend, on believing that the plot is still unfolding in our favor. If you’re reading this, know that I’m rooting for your next chapter just as hard..

With love ❤️. To my dear friend…
